About us
Since 1894, AmCham (American Chamber of Commerce) in France has been facilitating transatlantic business.
Uniting American and French firms and individuals to foster a positive business and investment climate, AmCham France is a partner and point of reference for governments, associations, and the media.
AmCham France offers great lobbying and networking opportunities, over 100 events and speakers a year, and ten specialized Task Forces (e.g. Entrepreneur, Legal Affairs, Human Resources, Taxation…). See membership benefits for further information.
AmCham’s headquarters are in Paris, at 77 rue Miromesnil (75008). The President and the General Director respectively are Eric Boustouller President, Microsoft France and Marina Niforos.
There are four regional Chapters:
- Alsace-Lorraine chaired by Patrick Dancourt,
- France Nord chaired by Pascal Mitaux-Maurouard,
- Midi-Pyrénées chaired by Leandro De Sa,
- Rhône-Alpes chaired by Bradley Stock.
Chapters vary in their structure, depending on their strategy and board members.
The Rhône-Alpes - Auvergne chapter plays 4 key roles:
• Representative of local US companies (over 500)
• Business network hub
• Advisor and coach in business development strategy (for French companies dealing with the US market and vice versa)
• Service provider:
- Translation of marketing literature and certified translations
- Training in cultural differences’ management and other business tools
- Creation and adaptation of communication materials (content and editing)
- Promotion of entrepreneurship with the Club 600 Entrepreneurship Award…etc.
AmCham has obtained 2 certifications in 2009 and is now recognized as an official training organization (all of our programs can be included in a DIF or a “Plan de formation”) and can provide certified French-English translations of official documents.
You can find out more about our activity on the Calendar page or by downloading the presentation of the chapter.
Regional Partners
As one of the regional chapters of the American Chamber of Commerce in France, we have an historical and strong partnership with the US Consulate in Lyon and the US Embassy in Paris.
We also work closely with key players in business development in the Rhône-Alpes region of France such as the CCIs, Economic Development Agencies (e.g. ADERLY, AEPI...), the CRCI, ERAI and other organizations including the WTC, FEDECLAIRA and FIBA.
